Constituency 101
Observer participation is facilitated through the constituencies, so as to aim for a balanced representation of the admitted non-governmental organizations. Constituency focal points are requested by the secretariat to disseminate information on the workshop to their constituencies, draw attention to relevant information on the official web site, provide feedback on perceived interest in attendance, and submit names of qualified persons. A balanced geographic and perspective representation is encouraged.

Pros & Cons of becoming an official Youth Constituency
These are my initial thoughts, I have yet to consult with other Constituencys. Please add other thoughts/comments that you have.
Pros
According to UNFCCC the priviledges are (from the 'Constituency Requirements' doc above):
- Meeting rooms for whole period; (AV Equipment)
- Room for meetings, on demand and for limited time slot
- Equipped offices for the whole period (dependent on resources available at the conference facility), not-neccessarily for subsidiary body meetings
- Direct channel of communication with secretariat
- Plenary statements
- Representation at workshops
- Meetings with the Exec Secretary and officials during sessions
- Assistance with representation at any restricted activity
It seems to me the only additional priviledge that the Secretariat would afford to us as an official Constituent is access to an office (Whit)
Elevating the legitimacy of the youth voice in domestic discussions on climate change (Whit)
Cons
- Potentially having to abide by the 'Code of Conduct' (Whit)
- Confusion in regards to our role in ENGOs and CAN (Whit)
- Pressure to include youth who we would prefer not to associate with (Whit)
